Speech Therapy is an investment. I will work together with you, your family member or your child to determine the appropriate session length. An evaluation is 1 hour long, and includes a written report.

I also offer a 20-minute free phone conversation to answer your questions and to determine if an evaluation is recommended.

Location

We are located near Clarkston, Michigan, and are happy to provide in-person therapy to Oakland County.

We are able to serve the entire state of Michigan via teletherapy.

LSVT LOUD Voice Treatment for

Parkinson’s Disease

I am one of few LSVT LOUD certified clinicians in Oakland County, Michigan. LSVT LOUD is an evidenced based voice therapy specifically designed to treat voice in patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Typically, people with Parkinson’s Disease have very quiet, rushed, and mumbled speech. This can make their speech really difficult to understand, and frustrating not only for the individual, but their family.

The tricky part is, people with Parkinson’s don’t usually feel like they are talking quietly or differently! They feel like they are shouting because their is a sensory mismatch. LSVT LOUD is a therapy specifically designed to target this mismatch.

LSVT LOUD is a commitment. It requires an initial hour long evaluation and four, 1-hour consecutive sessions a week, for 4 weeks. So, that would be one evaluation plus 16 therapy sessions in one month.

Payment

At this time, we are private pay only. We do not accept insurance. Payment is accepted by cash, check or credit card via Square.
